USANA Health Sciences to List Shares on the New York Stock Exchange

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--USANA Health Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: USNA) today announced that it has completed the application process and has been authorized to transfer the listing of its common stock to the New York Stock Exchange (“NYSE”). USANA expects its shares to begin trading on the NYSE on January 3, 2011, using its symbol “USNA”. Until that time, USANA’s common stock will continue to trade on the NASDAQ Global Select Market.

想要對美國股市有所瞭解，不可不先認識美國的證券交易所。
美國地大物博，證券交易所也有好多個，這和台灣只有一個證券交易所有很大的不同，不過別慌，純做股票買賣，只要對這些交易所有概略的認識也就足夠了。

1. 紐約證券交易所，New York Stock Exchange，簡稱NYSE

如果您參加美東旅行團，行程上一定有華爾街紐約證交所這個觀光點。位於華爾街的紐約證交所是美國最老、最大也最有名氣的證券市場，至今已有208年的歷史，上市股票超過3,559支。 它之所以有名，其中一點就是它雖貴為金融行業，但交易場所卻跟傳統菜市場一樣，喧囂沸騰，熱鬧得很。通常您在電視新聞裡所看到的比手劃腳，人聲沸騰的美股交易熱鬧場面，就是取景於紐約證交所。
紐約證交所的交易方式也跟傳統菜市場一樣，是採取議價方式，不同於台灣股票的電腦自動撮合，股票經紀人會依客戶所開出的買賣條件在交易大廳內公開尋找買主賣主，然後討價還價後作成交易。

紐約證交所因為歷史較為悠久，因此市場較成熟，上市條件也較為嚴格，像那些還沒賺錢就想上市籌資的公司是無法進入紐約證交所的，而歷史悠久的財星五百大企業大多都在紐約證交所掛牌，像： 賣洗髮精的嬌生﹝Johnson& Johnson﹞，賣壯陽藥威而鋼的輝瑞製藥﹝Pfizer﹞，做快遞服務的UPS和FDX聯邦快遞等大公司都是在紐約證交所交易的，而美國最大的上網服務公司，美國上線﹝America Online﹞也由那斯達克轉換跑道至紐約證交所交易。

2. 美國證券交易所，American Stock Exchange，簡稱AMEX
美國證交所是美國第二大的證券交易所，也座落於紐約華爾街附近，超過1,131支股票在此上市。
美國證交所的交易場所和交易方式大致都和紐約證交所相同，只不過在這裡上市的公司多為中、小型企業，因此股票價格較低、交易量較小，流動性也較低。
別因此就小看了美國證交所，它以前可是績優藍籌股的養成所哦！在還沒有那斯達克證券市場以前，一些現在知名的企業因為資本額小、賺的錢不夠多，無法達到紐約證交所的上市標準，因此就在美國證交所上市，像 石油公司艾克森﹝Exxon﹞和通用汽車﹝General Motors﹞都是在這裡長為大企業後，才再到紐約證交所上市的。
美國證交所在1998年被那斯達克證券市場併購，不過目前這兩個證券市場仍然獨立營業。


3. 那斯達克證券市場，Nasdaq Stock Market
那斯達克證券市場不同於紐約證交所與美國證交所，它是一個店頭市場﹝Over-the-Counter﹞。美國的店頭市場可不同於台灣哦，之所以叫做店頭市場，是因此它的交易方式不同於傳統的證交所，如前所述，證交所的交易方式是由經紀人在交易場內為客戶買賣股票，但是店頭市場的交易方式，是經由龐大的電腦系統來進行，投資人想要買賣店頭市場的股票，需要透過坐在櫃臺後面的專業經紀人利用電腦來進行，故被稱為店頭市場。
那斯達克非常的年輕，於1971年誕生，不到30歲的它，掛牌交易的公司已經超過6,771家，在這裡掛牌的公司多半是科技股，像： 半導體巨人英特爾﹝Intel﹞、軟體巨擘微軟﹝Microsoft﹞、知名網站雅虎﹝Yahoo!﹞和蘋果電腦﹝Apple Computer﹞等等。科技股為當今的熱門股，因此那斯達克證券市場成交活絡，目前在美國證券市場上，每天超過一半的成交量是在這裡完成交易的。
